A FAMILY WITHOUT TANYA...

In Loving Memory of Tanya Naples

29th June 1976 - 6th November 2008

Tanya went home to be with the Lord following a long and courageous battle with breast cancer and Hodgkin's lymphoma.

A trust fund has been created for her children, Owen age 4, Gianna age 2 and Isaac age 1.

Tanya was a graduate of Candor High School in Candor, NY, class of 1994, and Hartwick College in Oneonta, where she received a B.A.in Biology. Tanya was employed at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, as a labratory technician, for eight years, where she was known and loved by everyone. She enjoyed life to the fullest and had many friends. It was at Fox that Tanya met her husband, Dale Naples. They were married on Sept. 27, 2003 at St.James Church in Waverly. Tanya was a devoted wife and mother.

You could see her smile and bright blue eyes from far away.

Tanya is also survived by her parents Marjorie and Robert Cummings, Spencer; NY. Half-sisters, Theresa, Tammy, Erica and Bobbi-Jo, Spencer, NY; In-laws Michael & Jean Naples, Oneonta; Brothers'-in-law, Brian, Timothy, David and Anthony; Grandmother-in-law, Philomena Naples, Oneonta; and grandfather, Cordyce Cummings, Watertown; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Richard Stevens.

Calling hours were held at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home in Oneonta. They did a beautiful job. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oneonta. The celebrant was Reverand Robert Dywer of Bainbridge, with Pastor Reverend Joseph Benintende, and assisted by Deacon Timothy Naples.

TANYA NAPLES MEMORIAL

On 6th November 2008 Tanya Naples, a young woman from Oneonta, NY, went home to the Lord, leaving behind a husband and three young children aged between 1 year and 4 years: Owen, 4; Gianna, 2; and Isaac, 1.

This tragic and premature loss has had a considerable impact on the local community, with hundreds of people attending Tanya's funeral. Dale, with help from his family and Tanya's family now has to finish raising 3 beautiful, young children.

I would certainly urge anyone to provide whatever assistance and support they can - including corporate entities - in Tanya Naples Memory by donating to A.O. Fox Hospital, Lourdes Hospital Breast Cancer Center, or the American Breast Cancer Foundation. The link to make a contribution can be found by clicking on the "Donate" link on the top or bottom of this page.
